"Kung Chen Pao" Appeared in Canton: Under the sponsorship of 4w Boon Haw, a 2 rich merchant in Hongkong, who has always been very enterprising, a new daily known as the "Kung Chen Pao" pegan publicatiɔn ɔn July 4th. Hu Shan of the "Hongkong Jih Paɔ" is concurrently the president of this new press in Canton, and Chia No-fu has become its editor. The paper is under the joint supervision of the Japanese military authorities and the puppet Provincial Government of kwantung. (Domei in English, July 7th).

Come nt: Aw Boon Haw is a typical rich overseas Chinese, enterprising but politically an opportunist. He was a member of the National People's Political Council in Chungking when the war in Hongkong broke out. Since then he has co-operated with the Japanese Government in Hongkong, and recently founded a bank and a new trading company in Canton. Hu Shan is his son and he succeeded his other son, Hu Hau, as the president of "Hongkong Jih Pao". Hu Hua left Hongkong for Kweilin early in 1942 and is now
